Appreciate you so much… I got you

The song at the start of the episode is '4 O'clock' featuring RM. Tae had expressed how envious he was of other members having songs they wrote- primarily Yoongi, Namjoon, and Hoseok. He wanted to try writing his own song so he could perform it for ARMY. Naturally, being a beginner in music writing he knew he wouldn't be able to do it completely alone. So he sought out help from Namjoon. He decided while writing the song with Joon that it would be more of a duet. Tae revealed that this song was just something came up with and wanted to write, for Jimin. The two often confide in each other when they have difficult times, and Tae often felt like he was the one who was always needing Jimin's comfort, but he didn't think Jimin knew that it meant a lot to Tae to have a friend who was like that, who was always willing to cry with him. So why not write the song with Jimin? Well, Tae expressed that all six of the others had over the years made an impact on him. Jimin was the one to comfort him most, but that led him to thinking about Namjoon who he shared a room with for quite a few years, and how Namjoon also took care of Tae, especially in the early years. He said it made sense to him to have Namjoon on the song. Even though he didn't delve into an exact why, we know that the other members respect and look up to Joon in various ways. So, in the video- we see Tae deciding he wanted Namjoon to not only rap, but sing. He mentions that he thinks that ARMY would love to hear Joon sing, that ARMYs really like NamJoon's voice.... and he wasn't wrong. The song was released on soundcloud and they performed it at 2017's Home Party. I've already talked before about 2015 being a rough year for BTS and ARMY, and that lasted right through to the beginning of 2018. It's never just these fans of other kpop groups who like to start something, or say things they probably shouldn't say. In 2017 we got western fans, primarily 1d fans who talked shit and tried to gatekeep. The general public, media people, and people in the public eye all around the world just didn't understand how an asian group could get so big. Add in that not all members spoke english, and it was like people were threatened by BTS's sincerity. We fear the unknown, but these people took that in a whole different direction. People became very toxic towards them for no reason, and all the while- BTS put up with it- let their music do the talking, let their performances do the talking. The thing I never understood about America- and I was born and raised here, is why the hell people stick to these very racists and clearly 'you don't look like me so we're not the same, you suck' kind of attitude, especially when this country is a melting pot. I know the whites like to act like Natives don't exist, like we're only in the history books... but I can sympathize with Asian friends and family who are so super proud of BTS for breaking through into this music market. I know I get happy when I see a fellow Native get credit, break into film or music... I mean sure, not many break into music and get popular... but things take time. It's the unneeded comments that irked me the most back then, like the stupid questions they showed some of in this video. "can they speak english?" "will there be an english album?" "If your name Kim?" It was just a lot back then, but the video does a good job kind of doing a brief look at it. These guys work hard, even when on the road touring, even on days off they sometimes still hang around the company and might work on things. The view on kpop as a whole is very narrow minded. Sure, there's some things that we might consider crossing a line. But I don't see others questioning other kpop or western artists they way the media likes to do over here. Not all of it is racism, it's also just fear of what people can't seem to understand, gate keeping, and a dash of people who just join the hate-wagon to feel like they fit in. That's all I will say on this for now. Thanks again for the content drop- although I'm posting a bit late. 💜

ARMYnotArmy

You guys have finally touched the pulse of being an army, you get it. Army has never seen the records or awards as the goal, it has always been about made bts more and more seen and recognise. Is like when you see something amazing and is sooo great thst you want to show it to anyone. And you love it, and you feel is worth it so you go all in just because you think it should bee seen by everyone. Records and awards was the way to make sure bts were seen then, now is a way to make sure they are recognised as the great artist they are and stop been look down. Tha is what army are about, your words resonate with people so i think you are officially purple blood now. The love, respect with have for them as artist and human beings. Yep tha's is what set army apart from any other fandom. About the pan el...nick, i've seen you been so excited seen you was sure you had tickets for the last 2 weeks. Is okl also if you can i adviced you to watch the last vlive made by namjoon. So many mix feelings about it
