This is long, thank you for anyone who will read this. 💜 I have to say I was fortunate enough to come across a long thread on twitter by a veteran ARMY on what veteran ARMYs went through with receipts and images. It was the longest thread I had read hands down! 😭 Wish I could share it here. And I ended up in tears while reading it. I was so moved by it and heartbroken. I remember the 1st time I watched this, I was literally in tears. Couldnt wrap my head on how they managed to move past EVERYTHING, all the hate they been getting, and they were just KIDS back then. Just wanna share this too. I'm a 2020 ARMY and I think the most difficult and heartbreaking time for me was around Grammy's to August of 2021 😭 i didnt fully understand the kind of heartbreak veteran ARMYs where saying until these events happened (ofc, nothing can compare to what the veteran ARMYs went through in ALL those years💔) everyone on my TL kept on twting how everyone was tired and exhausted bec that time we were 'fighting' (dont know if you can call it that but we were calling out) Spotify for filtering a gi-normous percentage of streams as opposed to the other counterparts and haters be calling us bots (bots with premium Spotify accs 🤡) with writers here and there riding on the bandwagon. In one billboard cover story, Bts was interviewed and there were backhanded statements directed to the group. RM was questioned on chart manipulation due to mass streaming and mass buying. The whole article was poorly written, felt one-sided and it was rude, i couldnt even imagine what he felt that moment. They couldve made the cover story about their chart achievements because Butter was reigning. They also mentioned their military service as well as the profits theyre bringing in to hybe and that it's unclear whether anything could replace bts. They made 7 versions of that cover story which feels like they wanna just make money off of ARMY and didnt know that half of ARMY are adults. ARMY was so furious. I can still clearly remember how it felt. Back at the green app filtering our streams, to work around, we discovered Stationhead, a startup company then. We gave them their highest number of listeners, they couldnt believe it. We broke the app bec we were massive, we reached 200+ on that particular channel only 😂 they had like an emergency meeting and it took a couple of hrs before we're able to use the app again 😂 I was there, it was incredible and triumphant. They were thanking us for it nonstop and it felt like a relief, we were telling them how the green app is filtering a HUGE portion of our streams. I am not one to get back at haters, I do when I think it's needed, but at one time after months of trying to fight off, I was on the verge of tears because of exhaustion from all these haters. Some of them are over the top nasty and heartless. And for sure, it gets to us too mentally. I've come across haters on twitter that only focuses on BTS, there were images edited and made to look obscene and pornographic. Like private parts pasted on their pictures slandering them. Most subject of hate is targetted at Jimin. It's disgusting. I had to fight them, it really triggered me. Cant let it pass. Scammys 2021 was another (i dont even know how to describe it)... We are well aware of the institution's reputation in awarding. But it didn't change the fact that what transpired was horrible. From what i remember, a program lineup was circulating on twitter that shows BTS will perform somewhen during the middle of the program. And all throughout 3.5hrs they kept on teasing 'up next' only for it to happen 2nd to the last act. When bts lost, what broke a lot of ARMY's hearts was that they were saying they'll work harder and ofc, they dont have to and I honestly dont want that for them. We all know they always put their 101%. What pains me is they work double/triple than their western counterparts, losing 👵 made them feel like they have to work harder. 💔 Sorry for the long comment. I had nobody to talk to about my ARMY journey but this was nice. Just putting it out here. Borahae guys! 💜

2022-04-04 23:39:14 +0000 UTCfrom what i see its about even for all the members and antis will choose to target certain members at certain times like right now theyre targeting taehyung because of the grammys a few days ago it was namjoon before that it was jk and hobi since they had covid etc. every member has solo antis and antis in general plus the people who hate the group as a whole. theyre all equally hated which is why armys show them equal amounts of love. it may seem like certain members get more depending on who you follow or what posts you see but im always looking on other platforms too and they all get just about equal hate its frustrating and sickening either way i just dont like anyone to downplay the hate any of them get or overly victimize any member as the most hated cause those titles spewed out on social media can also negatively affect that member if they see said posts of them being the most hated. they may not see you post but if 1000s of armys say the same theyre bound to see it more. you get me?

Watching how upset you guys were getting was something I expected because I was so angry watching it also. I was extremely upset about how rude those assholes were with Jk when he took food for the crew. The amount of disrespect these shows have for individuals who are just trying to work hard at accomplishing their dreams is horrific. I would like to see their fat asses do what they do every day and see if they can even survive 5 mins of dance practice. It's sad to see how much hate people have for these boys when they don't even know them personally. I understand if you don't like their music that's fine no one is forcing you to like it. 2022-04-02 03:43:35 +0000 UTCactually yesterday on Weverse Big Hit released an statement giving kind of like an update on the actions they are taking against the attacks against BTS and put a few examples of people they are filling lawsuits against to so they are not playing around....when happen the situation of the chilean tv show mocking BTS ( the ones "speaking" korean) we send emails to BH so they can take actions against this people as well ( I live in Latin America btw and here that situation was a big thing between the fandom) ....even when is hard to watch I am happy XCeleste made this video with this topic since this can help for some people to understand why ARMY is the way it is over the boys....we're tired...really tired to see how is been BTS disrespect and as you see this keep happen nowadays....the anger you felt Nick is how we felt and still feel when we see this things still happen, and I agree with Lou...you don't need to like BTS is ok but the disrespect, the mocking, the ignorance, the racism towards them on a comment or "joke", on a magazine or even tv report or documentary, the huge disrespect to V's grandma back then that was so disgusting is what we as a fandom didn't and won't stand anymore, is sick....really sick, thanks God the guys are very centered and they learnt to have thick skin plus they know ARMY will always have their backs, thank you guys for the reaction and for the understanding on everything!

I believe that there will be hate because BTS is a positive shining light and they have to remain positive to fight all the negative that comes their way. I will always be ARMY and support them. I will never understand how people could do a lot of the things that were done to them and still to this day people try to discredit them like they do not put every single thing they have day in and day out as they have truly worked hard to get this far. 2022-04-02 01:10:24 +0000 UTCOkay, my one warning- This is going to be a long comment, maybe my most lengthy. I'm going to be a little all over the place, I'll start with the V/Tae's Grandma stuff. So, on September 3rd 2016, Tae's Grandma passed away. Tae went home to be with family and also went to the private funeral, members were there for him as well, Jimin was the one who cried with him the most at the time. November 10th, BTS won their first big award for BS&T. Tae gave a tearful thankful to his Grandma when they won- saying that he should have said it sooner, because he planned to tell her when they got a win, but he couldn't because she was gone now. The day they won was his grandmother's public funeral he couldn't attend that one but he'd already been with family for the private funeral with just family (This is a tradition some still practice, where you have 2 funerals. One for only family and very close friends, then you have one for anyone else who might have known the person, so they can come and pay respects and wish them well) Fans did notice him looking somber and noticed he wasn't smiling as much when the others were goofing around. Fans expressed concerns for him and so November 12th, during BTS's 3rd Muster- Tae addressed the situation. Now, I'd like to note that Musters are not normal concerts- these are specifically for ARMYs, ARMYs who have an official ARMY membership card and can enter the raffle to purchase tickets to these events (sometimes they have given a chance to random ARMYs who purchase albums.). So the people who were listening to Tae were only ARMYs, most of them worried about him. So to accuse him of using it, when the whole arena was ONLY fans to begin with, well saying that in my opinion is just plain fucking stupid. He was not trying to get sympathy, no one made him bring it up to 'lure' in more fans... the only ones that were there were already fans, already ARMYs willing to support them by buying the membership and go through the wait of the chance to get tickets. So yeah, no bullshit, just Tae wanting to explain so his fans didn't worry- but it was still fresh and he broke down. The others comforted him, Jimin was the first one to hug him and he kept giving him hugs till he was calmer. Zack Sang has been supportive of BTS since 2017, so those guys being on his show and that one dude (I never heard of the group either and I am positive I never will because no ARMY in the US would support them after that shit) who claimed 'we still need a European or American artist on top' .... yeah that shit pisses me off. I hate how he acted like that should have been a known fact. Also loved how in that interview he was really expecting everyone in the room to agree with him. Dude didn't read the room before opening his mouth. There's so many things that are wrong with that dude and that interview... but I'm not trying to get hung up on one thing. The gate-keeping from SK was ridiculous. Yes, obviously it's 'business' but Nick is correct- instead of putting that time and effort to trying to ruin BTS, these mother F'ers should have been putting their money into their groups. Maybe loosening the leashes a little and their artists try writing, try producing. Not relying on the same fucking beats for every damn group... speeding up or slowing down the same beat is only going to work one time each... maybe 4 if you're lucky and add in enough to make it different... but when these producers use the same gimmicks over and over- it shows.... Looking at you YG.... fucking Teddy needs to retire or go back to school for sound engineering- yeah I said it. These companies do need to do business, but they could have put more effort back then into growing their own styles and sounds. And a lot of this hate was honestly just fans of other groups and anti's in general. Not even just Korean fans, which also irked me then and still irks me now- I know complaining about fan culture in SK is warranted because it is toxic to an extent, it's a problem and has been a problem since Lee Soo-man decided SM needed to be the head company of Kpop and would PAY fans to run fan sites and give those fans access to their Idols.. yeah I fucking said it and if anyone says otherwise then they clearly have never heard of Nabi.. although she went by other names, Nabi was one of her earlier ones and many others started to copy her name back in 2014. Anyway- She's a Saesang who was paid by SM to take pictures of some of SM's artists where general fans could not... like near their dorms, in the private garage areas, at the airports when no one knew the artists were traveling. SM realized how much attention they got with this 'Saesang behavior' and did things like sell necklaces claiming to have a strand of hair in them of one of the artists, also necklaces claiming to have a drop of the artist's blood in them..... Yeah, yeah.. and Now, more recently, in 2021.. SM stated it would take harsher action against saesangs... but this mother trucker is the one who popularized saesangs. Now the company wants to shun them... It pisses me off to no end. And I'm not saying SM is the only company that paid these kind of people. The big 3 were known for it, K-fans knew and many were not happy about it, but they also knew there wasn't anything they could do because they loved the artists. International fans though.. some adapted this toxic culture, some still to this day try to find Saesangs and get information from them. They are sometimes regarded as 'insiders' and some are posing as 'fan sites' as well. Fans calling in to claim there was a mistake when BTS won, that's honestly nothing new for some fans. I will say that even back when EXO first won, another group's fans were calling in and telling them they calculated wrong. But BTS had the most callers claiming that there was a miscalculation. So while it seems weird because I don't think I've ever heard of a fan over here in the US doing that.. it does happen in SK, but not at that volume. Also it's not common for fans of other groups to go and file a blue house petition.... which honestly makes no sense to even file one of those but hey, when people get mad sometimes they get stupid. I love xCeleste for putting this video together but honestly he doesn't cover half of the shit they went through. I also want to note that yes- BTS did not have a normal debut- Technically.. BTS were supposed to debut in the last half of 2012, but earlier in the year they had debuted their Girl Group- GLAM... aka.. the group who shall not be names.. aka the group who made BigHit not audition females for a long time. Because of the scandals 3 of those girls caused- Bang had to pay.... and that meant BTS had to sit out of debut a bit longer. And them sitting back and waiting, meant more stress, and led to them only being able to debut on one show and only with one song that was televised. No more Dream, they performed the day the album dropped.... Luckily, a friend of Bang's called him the next day and told Bang he put BTS in for their Debut since another group had cancelled. So they were able to have an actual debut with a few songs... unfortunately a good chunk of it was cut. RM getting death threats during Red Bullet will never not piss me off. Not because I missed out on my hi-touch or because I didn't get to see them perform a full encore... no.. it's because these two KIDS, both under 18 had threatened them, and what made their threats more viable was that these two white girls had guns... most likely belonging to their parents.. but they had taken pics and video of them with actual guns, showed the bullets... said some really gross things about Namjoon, and threatened him. And at that time nothing could be done, BigHit couldn't do what they've been doing since 2016/2017. They couldn't sue these people. The amount of effort these fan groups put in to try and derail BTS is absured, also... they could have just put that effort on ONE other group and maybe BTS wouldn't have broken through when they did, it might have taken them longer... but I do have full confidence that BTS were meant to succeed, they were different, not as controlled, not just doing what big bad company tells them to. The journalist breaking into BigHit I wanted to delve into as well- See, BigHit had been growing and of course BTS already owned shares in the company that the members themselves bought. With the new contract and the things being promised, the new assets that BTS would have.... well Bang Si-Hyuk advised them and their families to seek outside lawyers and not just the lawyers BH uses for handling finances. So, one sunny day a member and their family went to see a lawyer about handling finances, and some reported happened to be in the same area and see it. So of course they jumped on it. But because they couldn't exactly ask questions to a lawyer about the member's personal affairs... they decided to see if they could find any evidence that BTS might be in disagreement with BigHit... that led to this 'journalist' breaking and entering into the BigHit building when no one else was there but cleaning crew. They tried to get further, but they didn't make it before staff did notice them and kicked them out. So, they ran a fake story of BTS suing BigHit... why? Because it would get them more attention. Of course others grasped on and claimed other things and BigHit had to come out and put not just a statement on them and BTS and their families, but also to tell everyone that they had the CCTV footage of this guy breaking and entering into their building. The fact that journalists were willing to go to those lengths... just fucking shameful. From fans of other groups hacking ARMYs accounts by acting like an ARMY who just wanted other ARMYs to vote for BTS, when the link they provided had a keylogger.... used to hack those who clicked the link... To antis continually pretending to be ARMY and starting crap with other fandoms. More Death threats, the girl who went to Yoongi's mom's sausage soup resteraunt to demand she make Yoongi stop doing music- yeah.. legit happened, And ARMYs think the reason she moved her resteraunt was because of that girl and her constant harrassment. There's just a lot.. too much and this has probably gotten too long for any sane person to read lol. I'm sorry but these things do irritate me to no end. I've seen this video many times but it never fails to bring up bad memories for me. I was around for a lot of this crap. I saw these people doing whatever they could to try and discredit BTS. Verbally belittling certain members like Jhope and RM, those two got the most verbal lashings I think I'd seen... It was just uncalled for. All these things add up over time, and yeah ARMYs get over protective. I am going to stop here. I hesitated a bit on watching this because I'd already been a little down earlier and I knew seeing this would just put me in a place of anger. Which is also why I had to pause a bit and waited to write this comment after I finished it. Because I didn't want to start angry writing.. which I think I did a little bit of, and I'm sorry for that. Thank you for putting up with my long ass post. 2022-04-01 22:13:47 +0000 UTCThis video is so hard because it’s jamming years of hardships and mistreatments into 30 mins or so. So the constant negativity was so hard to take. I literally cried so much at first watch. JK and the burgers is such a dark memory for army. He is the youngest and this was his first time on a show on his own. So even if I wasn’t army at that time seeing JK literally grow up in front of our eyes shit he started training at 13, seeing him being treated so cruelly was painful. And believe me the fuller clip from that show is worse you can see him take deep breaths and try to keep his composure while still being on air since it was recorded live I think. I was army for the grammys, the German radio host and even the Chilean tv show there was also a Dominican radio station and let me tell you I felt so personally affected by a lot of it. It def hit harder going thru it than just in a summary of it. There’s so much to talk about from this vid b/c while some things are rude or dismissive there were so many cruel and malicious acts against them that you can almost feel personally as an army. So I’ll just leave my comment at that.

But when it comes to 2nd or 3rd gen idols if I stumble upon their song I’ll add it to a playlist but I’m not purposely looking into certain groups especially problematic ones towards BTS.

(Not saying she’s right but giving context). She once called them Taiwanese which in Spanish is not a word that rolls off the tongue. But I went with her to LA and I told her you gonna have to get this straight before we go. Now she just calls them los BTSes. As for listening to music in other languages I understand both English and Spanish fluently but there is music from both that at first listen you can’t understand them either. Between rap, trap, reggaeton or dembow there is a shit load of music that isn’t understandable.

When it comes to army is true that army are protective even from other army but I get it, even when they overdue it because when you hear the same ( even light) joke about bts you get tired and then the reactions becomes huge for some situations but is just because the fandom is over it. Also army are conscious that when it comes to bts and media there is always an odd response from them and we know that because we are from the west and we know if they were white they would have been treat like gods from the beginning, now 5 years after for the first time I feel they are more accepted or recognized but a what cost? They constantly proving themselves worth it, a diehard huge fandom and many many records broke. Now we know people will use bts for the fandom and the fandom often has let this happen for the sake of interest the problem with the grammys and I feel many people don't understand why we felt so devastated ( really) it wasn't because they didn't won it was because the use they made of the fandom was so apparent, open and loud for no reason. We felt used and we know they used them too. That was what made the fandom so angry beside the fact that I still think dynamite deserved it wasn't the losing as much the clear feeling of being just a question of numbers for them and no regards for bts whatsoever. Said that I agree with you all and now I wait for rise of bangtan. Will you upload it?

These labels uses slave contract, and people aren't aware that unconsciensly they supports and enrichs the labels more than the artists... The only thing ill say that sums up my attitude towards these haters is that all of them have all this time and energy that they put into hating BTS and trying to tear them down which only makes BTS Rise even higher every time, when their favs would actually be winning if you guys would put all that time and energy into supporting who you think deserves it. Guess they don't have much confidence. The fact that also this isnt even half of the crap BTS has had to put up with is what always makes me wonder how people have so much time on their hands. I 100% was one of those people that was like "Oh they're speaking a language I don't understand that's why I can't like them or listen to their music" meanwhile I cannot speak spanish nor do I understand it but I would listen to hispanic or latin music almost everyday. I was a hypocrite. Only after entering the Kpop community did I learn that I did not need to know what they were saying in order to appreciate their music or the work they put into their music and careers. If I wanted to know what they were saying, I searched it up and learned the lyrics. I feel like I lived my life so closed off to new experiences because of what I was taught growing up or the people who I had surrounded myself with made me feel weird for liking something different. One thing I constantly say is that my enjoying Kpop or the Korean culture, or any culture has everything to do with what makes me happy and I do not have to explain myself or my likes to anyone who wants to judge me for it. If it makes me happy, why do I need to care that you don't like the same music as me? My family and friends constantly poke fun at me for my interest in Kpop, anytime I eat anything related to an asian culture (not sure if that is the right way to word it?) they will say "Oh it's because she likes those Japanese boys". First of all... they're Korean. Anyways please excuse my paragraphs I just had a lot to share lol. I really loved watching y'all react to this and talk about it.
