2022-03-28 19:51:27 +0000 UTCsuperm's title tracks are larger than life, but the real magic is in their b-tracks. please, please do a superm album listen with lyric videos—not all lyric videos are correct 100% of the time, but they're the best way to get an idea of the lyrics and who is singing. i feel that their title tracks don't give the full view of just how amazing superm's music is—they're fun, and epic, but their talent shines on the b-sides.

Now when you get into the B Sides, that's where the usual suspects of SM writing collaboration shines. Between both albums there are multiple put on repeat tracks.

2022-03-26 20:14:26 +0000 UTCI Love SuperM because I love the members they chose for the group but I think SM fails to understand that what makes fans love a group isn't just the music or talent but the group dynamic and the group's journey to success and growth. You can't just stick 7 already established individuals in a group and expect them to take over the world, thats not how it works.😭 Obviously SuperM have a great friendship between themselves and they are all super talented individuals but I know for a fact, SM did not get the reception they hoped out of SuperM. Don't get me wrong, they did get a lot of traction, but I'm sure SM wanted a little more. I just feel like there is no foundation to the group other than them taking "the best of the best" and putting them together. Either way, I love the group, they are all my favs, but I dont see any growth for me to even feel attached to them as a fan. if that makes any sense?

I was on board with this project since the concept was bringing the best males on that label together it made me excited. I honestly didn't know Kai, Taemin, or Baekhyun. I had heard of them & their groups & knew they were big but SuperM is what made me learn about them & stan their groups and solo projects. To me SuperM is like wow this are incredible artists that deserve this stage but not this treatment. I feel like my opinion is more like Kurt's because of that where I went with a blind eye and no expectations. However, I totally understand and appreciate yall's opinions on how it's not serving justice to them. I've been seeing that all around since they debuted from other fans as well so maybe if I knew how grand they are before I would feel the same way. To me they kind of remind of groups that people here title tracks and hate on them, calling them noise music. With SuperM their labeled over the top, that should only be performed and, people even say they were put together to promote their other groups. All I can say is definitely try their b-sides, their a different flavor and some of my favorite songs. Unfortunately they only have a full album and a mini album out and have been in hiatus ever since due to the members in the military. Thank you for reacting to this and stating yall's honest opinions.

SM put together this amazing group of people who can do it all including writing music but they still won't let them actually do it themselfs. I believe Mark and Taeyong did get to write their own raps and maybe write on some of the other songs but still, i do wish SM would give their artist more freedom and give them more trust! I think they got too scared when it came to Super M so they would only trust others to make the music which i think is a shame. I didn't like Jopping and 100 when i first listened to it. I thought Jopping's music video was really good but the song was like you said a little corny and i think Tiger Inside should have been their first song not Jopping or any of the other songs on the album would maybe have been better. I do like both songs now but i prefer their other songs. I feel like SM and Captiols problem was to make it more about being better than the current most popular kpop group so it all became more superficial. If the Super M was not strong enough then this whole project would not have worked. They didn't end up were they wanted to be but i personally prefer Super M so for me i think it went well but it could have gone 10 times better if they would have done things differently. For the girl version they put together (i don't know what they are called), i thought that went a lot worse then Super M. I thought the song was horrible and it was lot worse than Jopping. I don't know half of the girls either so that probably didn't help but that's a me problem not a them problem.

2022-03-26 03:20:03 +0000 UTCThey should've promoted Monster, Tiger Inside, and Infinity instead of 100, and One. Besides the bridge in the song, I wish 100 did not exist in their discography. I get that some people love this song, but I still believe it was an unnecessary blemish in their history, more so than Jopping. I got used Jopping and can appreciate the song (while ignoring the lyrics), but 100 still makes me cringe. I think you guys would enjoy the bsides on this album much more...less try hard and more natural in that there was less pressure for them sound like a super group. Honestly, removing 100, the album is a really good SM project.

Yeah, majority of people did not like 100 or Jopping (besides Marks iconic bars). SM had this vision of having SuperM like comic book superheroes. They had a collab with Marvel. But the fans felt like it was an underutilization of the star power this group has. Or wrong direction. Fortunately, they have some real music as b-sides. But still. SM did too much. They need to bring it back to the music. Not this grandiose theatrics they want them to be.
