You can see they get out of their comfort zone except maybe Tae who's a natural aegyo. So I sympathize with them lol. Jimin doesn't even need to try that's for sure.

2021-12-28 21:41:04 +0000 UTCis it just me that absolutely hates aegyo, I mean it can be cute sometimes obviously but I hate the idea of TRYING to be cute, like if you cute you cuteππ. but I hate when they try to do cute charms and stuff. I find it extremely cringe and unsettling. its always a skip for me.π Especially with people like Jimin. Jimin is cute on his own so when he does aegyo I dont like it because its not needed.π

It happens often with idols. You will notice it happens a lot when idols perform and they get introduced or in variety shows in general.

Just putting it out there as this might help you guys to understand more what's happening in the episodes. It can be overwhelming. Though I'm sure you're already familiar with some of it :) In this episode they had to act cute or dance to get food. Acting cute is called "aegyo", it's very popular in SK and the act often looks like a babyish impression. It's done by idols mostly for fan service. But it can be very cringy so most of the BTS members feel uncomfortable doing it, which is why it kinda became a small challenge to do sometimes to win something. But when it comes to food, the boys usually fight over it so much that they have no pride lol. The acrostic poem is a thing they do in most of the variety shows for entertainment. I think it's part of the culture too but correct me if I'm wrong. It's like a poem based on syllabes and korean language, so it's another quick fun game that you'll see often. They have a wide variety of games that can seem pretty confusing or chaotic sometimes. It's like they have a different game for everything (I'm sure you got a glimpse of that watching Squid Game). Apart from the classic activites and sports they do in Run BTS, they also have a lot of games that include melody, gestures, roles, words, etc. Some are Korean traditional games, some are popular childhood games and some actually come from the drinking culture in Korea. As you know they are very touchy. You can call it skinship and it's very common in Korea. It's when friends bond through non-sexual physical contact, quite similar to bromance. Idols can display that for fan service too. The butt-slaping is a common thing they do too. And you probably noticed their own way of editing stuff in variety shows. It can be a lot. They would repeat a moment from different angles, add sound effects or images and add a lot of comments on top of the subtitles. These could influence you but it's sometimes very funny.

2021-12-28 17:42:51 +0000 UTCTruthfully, when these connected episodes were first released, first I thought it might be Tae, then in episode two I had thought maybe Jimin was the spy. I don't remember why I thought it would be one of those two. But seeing these 3 parts multiple times now it's funny to think how I could have thought that either one of them could have been the spy. Jin is usually very playful, and he likes to take things not too seriously when it comes to this show. He has moments of seriousness, but when it comes to most of the games, he tends to be more on the light side. He's also a really good actor, even though his ears do give him away sometimes. The spy episodes are great, but I think I favor some of the roleplay/skit episodes more. I don't think there's an episode of RUN that I don't enjoy though. It's just varying levels of enjoyment. Thanks for another great reaction to RUN. looking forward to more and I hope the whole Redemption gang had a great Christmas/Holiday. πππ
