2021-11-01 22:44:56 +0000 UTCLo about to dive into the k-drama world now 😭 Be aware that it doesn't really represent how romance is in SK, because it can be very romanticised and polished (again, probably for marketing reasons like in kpop), but you can get an idea of some of their standards at least. In the end, besides some small cultural differences, they all date at a young age like everyone else, even the kpop idols. They just hide it.

2021-10-30 20:00:22 +0000 UTCI think to add to the conversation about adding a love interest, well a lot of kpop songs about love is often times targeted to fans in general. So the "you" in "Let Me Love You" in at least the music video is actually them communicating that to the fans by making a self-made video with just them expressing love & happiness. But if the lyrics really indicated a specific love interest and a specific relationship experience, then I would agree the video should reflect that more!

2021-10-29 20:56:57 +0000 UTCI just want to add in the conversation about skinship I grew up in the Philippines and moved to the US when I was 14 and it was a culture shock for me when I got here cuz literally I had to be told what personal space means cuz we didn’t have that concept when I was in the Philippines. I would hold hands, hug and sometimes kiss my friends and it was completely normal no one thought it was sexual so imagine my shock when I got here and didn’t understand the concept of personal space 😅 people probably thought I was weird. I’m glad that you guys understand the differences in culture cuz I know once you start watching more BTS contents then you will see that they’re very affectionate with each other
