What I like about these is how the Cyphers give you some insight into the things BTS members really couldn’t say out loud due to the more conservative society. Like how most of the members (except Jin, Tae, and JK) were considered too ugly to be in a KPOP group. There is definitely a heavy focus on looks in the kpop industry - I know you guys check out a lot of other groups too. Of course they have some massively talented artists, but they tend to all fit Korean beauty standards to a T (tall, nose with a high bridge, fair skin, small lips, thin, v-line jaw shape, and double eyelids). BTS have more diverse looks, and they got A LOT of hate for it. J-Hope and RM especially took tons of flack. In a lot of ways I think the cyphers really show how they used the criticisms as a motivation to work harder.

At the end of the day haters know their name. You’ll have to watch the medley to really get how hype this song is.
