Red Lantern Windrose (Through Chap. 5)

I'm really finding my rhythm with these chapters. This has been an interesting project to undertake for me, not just because I'm writing off of 12-year-old comic scripts, (while making whatever changes I please, granted) but because of the alternating POV. I've never written a book this way, and I'll admit, I was a bit scared I wasn't going to get the hang of it, or that it wouldn't come together well.

I'm finding it liberating honestly, to not be tethered to one character over the course of the story. While it can sometimes be tricky to get a chapter started, and find that character's voice, it also helps keep me on my toes.

I decided to write the drake attack chapter from Johannes's perspective and I'm SO glad I did, another chapter from Luther's POV would have been fine, but I think this ended up being a great place to introduce Johannes's voice, esp. given it gives a good chance to show his strained, but still respectful, dedicated familial bond with Luther.

Let me know what you think so far! I'm really looking forward to the chances this opens up- showing some scenes from multiple perspectives, where the reader will have a chance to learn more from each angle.
