Added in a YT comment, but I figure I'd put it in the cool kids' club here, too: When you say that developers played tricks with timing, do you mean pulse width modulation? If so, what kind of period width and duty cycle resolution could you get out of it? Are you able to issue calls to the Rumble Pak asynchronously, or is it one message per frame (or whatever it is interlaced) of gameplay?
