It's difficult to describe, and I don't know if it's intentional, but the videos are scripted and edited in a way that makes the hardware & software feel as though they are current modern hardware / software. It's like dressing old technologies in a very interesting modern presentation that doesn't rely on nostalgia. I keep catching myself itching to try out writing sample proof of concepts for the Amiga (my favorite 80s computer) / PS1 / Saturn /etc.., the same way I feel today for the brand new stuff that comes out in say C# (or C++) langauge specificaiton / APIs / Frameworks /etc..
