Housewives are spinning. The girls embroider and wash faces every morning with "the first snow" and wipe themselves with a red thread belt - "so that their faces are ruddy." Boys help their parents, and in their free time they prevent girls from embroidering.
The period of fortune-telling for the coming year is approaching, and with it comes the time of old traditional entertainments of rural youth. Old Ukrainian customs, which were once associated with the beginning of the new year of our distant ancestors, later moved to Christian holidays.
The practice of dualism is still alive in Ukrainian villages. Christian and Pagan, as if they are so different, but interwoven with each other, without disputes and competition. How exactly? We will find out in the next more detailed postsπ
