Extra Video - Where Did You Go - Early Stages Jam
Added 2019-05-31 18:00:50 +0000 UTCI can't believe this is going to happen after all. Nine years ago, Alexander Knutsen (guitar) and Jack Deboe (drums) flew to Monterrey to play a live show with me.
During their stay, I asked Alex if he could play along to a new song I was working on called Where Did You Go?
The lyrics weren't finished, but the melody and chords were. This video above (filmed by Jack) is of Alex listening to the song for the first time and improvising.
Since then, the kind of tones and riffs he played became a part of the song in my head. I can't hear it any other way.
I'd always hoped I'd have a chance to have Alex play when I recorded this song "for real". Even though it took me longer than planned, it's finally happening in a few months!
