Here are some stills from the My Immortal video we reshot. Well, they are stills from some of the 5 Master takes from which the video will be edited.
I think we found a much better camera angle that doesn't call so much attention to my forehead butt. haha! I also did my best to relax my face, and relax in general. It's multitasking for me because on one hand, I have to remember lyrics, and the piano, and I have to remember to be expressive, but not too much so it's not cringey, and to not turn my face in certain unflattering angles, and to make sure I sing and breathe in time to match the recording.
Hahaha. Sheesh. This is why I love live performances better. Because then... you do what you do and that's it. I confess (with my 2 video experience so far) that I'm not a big fan of these staged kind of videos for this reason. But, I feel if the end product is nice, then it's worth to keep trying and learning. Who knows... they may grow on me. hehe.
I'm so happy we had a chance to reshoot because from one session to another, I feel I learned a whole bunch by analyzing what I didn't like about the first shoot.
The added time also also let me polish the song arrangement a bit more and I'm happier with how that turned out, too.
So, while I wasn't able to do what I initially intended... to just be done with this by Oct 31st... At the end of the day, I'm happier with the extra work we did on this and feel it will be worth it in the end.
