SO my original plan was a fall themed elf. Then that didn't arrive, so I grabbed a set I had planned for October, a Sea Elf/ Nymph (trying to do a lot in October!!!!) and painted my whole body green. It was truly terrible and we didn't notice the blotchy paint until later. 0/10 Don't recommend cheap costume paint. It was over 2 weeks of prop making and testing, and 5 hours of makeup for photos that didn't turn out. Honestly a huge disappointment, but oh well.

So then we got here. I didn't want to cancel this month, but I also didn't want all the time I spent planning this set to go to waste so I used some of the props from my sea elf set and came up with this!

I'm actually much happier with how this turned out, it's simple and pleasing to the eye. The color theme is definitely a plus. I am sad my Sea Elf idea fell through as I was looking forward to doing it as one of my costumes next month.

Planning for October is also another reason I've been so radio silent. I've been wanting to make a big deal out of it as it's Halloween damn it (AND MY ONE YEAR IN THE NL!!). SO I have multiple things planned!

There may be more photos of this tomorrow, I still have a few I’m 50/50 on. And in addition to that I’ll have a look at showing you guys the failed sea elf!
