By the time the two girls got up, with Dayshia staying awfully close to Palutena, comments be damned, Cake came to a dead stop at an island shore, where not a single tree nor rock could be seen, and the dreary purple visage of the world gave way to massive flowers that stretched to the skies above. Reds, greens, pinks, yellows, and even oranges (strangely no blues) surrounded the girls from off the sandy shoreline, with a small field of grass housing the stems ahead.
Palutena swallowed hard when she forced a graceful descent onto dry land while Dayshia tripped and fell to her face, eating a mouthful of sand. Her arms jittered as he pushed herself up before crawling out of the ‘boat’ right when Cake morphed into her regular form; small, bean-like, and with noodly arms and legs unlike the curvaceous travelers that staggered to the massive garden ahead.
“Well, it seems as if we’re finally out of the woods now,” chuckled Palutena.
“Yeah, but, where the hell even are we?” Dayshia lifted her head to the large petals above with her eyes squinted. “It’s like we’re in some kind of dream world… or, maybe we’re on an alien planet? This doesn’t look like any sort of jungle I’ve ever seen.”
“Not every jungle is terribly different from one another,” noted Palutena. “I’m sure if we stick together we’ll be just fine.”
“Do you promise not to talk about my ass if we do?” Dayshia asked.
“I shall keep my lips sealed under you’re ready to let it out.”
“Thank you, Palutena. I’d really be grateful if you di—”
“Just like a fart!”
