Two more Heralds have fallen. Now three remain. One has yet to rear his head. One has already scurried off to Otis’ side. Leaving only one left between Sonya and her all-out war against Otis. Astaroth is in her sights, and the perfect opportunity to deal with him is approaching. Sonya has been patient with Mimir, but her homegrown vigilante mastermind has gone off the rails, weaving his own machinations as he positions himself against the world she wants to create. As Sonya gets ready to deal with an old enemy and an enemy of her own making, the world marches forward.

Dangerous secrets are finally slipping out. Hidden allies are making their moves. Old enemies become allies. Old allies become enemies. The very framework of the world order is at stake. The World's Strongest Hero is out of commission just as Heroic Dungeons are appearing more frequently. All the while, Otis, the king of lies, faces a challenge that could very well make him look at himself in the mirror. What happens when a monster whose greatest weakness is his arrogance becomes humbled?

Sonya’s ability to dance around the truth will be put to the test, as will the depths of her heart and her commitment to her newly declared Duality. Earth is far from safe, and the future is in flux, even to an oracle. The new Heralds of Otis are on the rise as the old ones fall.
