Short Break - Status Update
Added 2025-02-12 17:01:34 +0000 UTCWith the end of Book 3, I'll be taking a short break through the rest of this week until next monday where everything will pick back up. No chapter updates during that time. Thank you guys for your continued support. I literally cannot do this without you guys. I release on a pretty intense schedule compared to a lot of authors on this platform so I need regular breaks to keep up. I'm also currently re-entering the job market with things as they are now. Hopefully i don't have to take that step, but it's something i'm being forced to be realistic about.
in brighter news, I'm finally happy with the first couple revised imperious chapters so they'll be coming out soon.

You can always trade authors note advertisement spots with other authors. With over 6,000 followers on RR, you have plenty of leverage to work with.

2025-02-14 17:56:46 +0000 UTCI switched the cover back~ It'll take a bit to upload. Fortunately I can still designate volume covers on RR. As for a campaign... I'll see what I can do.

2025-02-14 03:08:01 +0000 UTCIt's pretty common for people to drop patreon subscriptions eventually. A few will stick around for the long term, but plenty will want to binge, and pay for one month to read all the chapters, unsubscribe, then wait for chapters to build up for another binge. For most content creators it's a constant game of making sure you gain as many new patreons as you lose them, which is part of why I think the covers are harming your income so much. At five chapters a week you're definitely delivering, but you're not getting that new recruitment. If I were in your shoes I'd change the cover back to Sonya and run a new RR ad campaign.

2025-02-13 17:17:20 +0000 UTCI appreciate the advice and it's something I'll definitely consider. Ultimately the problem comes from my patreon income not being what it once was :( if I could understand why so many of yall have left me I might be able to figure out how to turn things around.

2025-02-13 16:48:51 +0000 UTCHey Broker, this is unsolicited advice but I wanted to comment on your need to re-enter the job market, because I think Broker has a lot of earning potential you're not getting from it because of the RR covers. I'm willing to bet money that you saw a drop in new readers as soon as, or not long after, you changed the cover to not feature Sonya, and that's hamstringing your potential Patreon income. The cover is the first thing potential new readers see, and the ones who want to read about the pink-eyed girlboss is not the same audience that wants to read about the frowning blonde in heavy armor or the tan dude with a sneer. The people who DO want to read those things will see the cover, open the book, quickly realize the character on the cover isn't the MC they were intrigued to read and many of them will leave. Meanwhile you're missing out on the girlboss audience, who doesn't find the story because the apparent MC isn't the one they want to read about. All this translates to your Patreon income.
