Cleaned by the house, only fitting role for that is obviously returning the favor and cleaning the house in return. French maid is the natural choice for that stuff.
Not that Alice understands any French, but she thinks living up to the role in the fullest is very important.
Her role naturally includes taking care of the cleaning side of things when there's no dancing to be done.
She's being observed by a previous guest of the establishment, Somefoxhere, who seems to have taken to her new job just fine.
