I guess this unfortunate girl ended up chasing a criminal that was of a magical nature and this crook happened to a little trap for the cop.
Or maybe there was a bewitched box just waiting to get filled with a fresh batch of small dogs, who knows.
Either way there are going to be major changes happening in this cops life.
And it looks like there's a new friend just around the corner to welcome her to this new interesting world.

True, I guess we could say that at least the curse was honest about it's intentions. Of course it's entirely another thing whether people actually want free puppies.
