Interesting question, sunset is a very peculiar light situation, you can see a lot of colour theory in it. Basically the light source will be the sun that will look pastel yellow, the horizon line close to it starts to look apricot, then orange, and instead of red a mix of purple and orange, that creates a particular toned red. On the other side the tones will go from purple to blue, specially the horizon line will be of a pale blue. In practice, you can paint one side with worm colours reflecting the sunset, like a panorama basically, the top part of the object will look like purple blue a bit desaturated, and the back will have a cold horizon line.
