I thought all of the practical effects were really impressive, but the story itself really boring. Am I missing something? What do you guys love about this movie?

I was pretty much the same age as Kevin when that show was "new episodes" and not reruns. Felt like a mirror of my life at times. I lost my dad the year before the final season.
