Last week I had one of the greatest matches in my career when I defeated Edge and now look, we’ve all had a week to process our feelings, and if I’m being honest, what happened to edge was unfortunate and unsettling and scary. When my boot came down across his neck, I heard a pop and I felt a crunch and I don’t know how to describe beyond, um… do you know… when you step on a cockroach, you can hear the crunch and you know when you pick up your shoe and there’s gonna be a lifeless body underneath? That was one of the greatest wins of my career and I didn’t have a moment to enjoy it, cuz when I went backstage, I get on my phone everyone is calling me a monster, saying WHY WHY? My own employer said that what I did was unconscionable, I used a legal move in a legal match and won it the same way I’ve won matches the majority of my career. So did I go too far? You know who went too far? EDGE. Cuz he’s a family man, he knew the risks and consequences and still got in the ring with me. You know wHo’s to blame? Look to your right, to your left, the mirror, YOU’RE TO BLAME for what happened to edge. You goaded Edge into Goading me. Remember when he called me edge-lite? What did you do? You cheered. What about when he dumped black gunk on my head, ruined my suit. What about when he beat me at summerslam, what did you do then? I’m not the one to blame, its edge and every person in this rotten place and at home. I’m not done with Edge, this past week on NXT, she said Edge was at home recuperating, so if you’re at home, I imagine you are watching, and I know what you are thinking, cuz I would be thinking the same thing, Edge are you physically of getting back in the ring. MOre importantly, are you emotionally capable of getting back into this ring, cuz I saw the look in your eye when they had you on that stretcher, do you know what that look was? It was fear for one second, I FELT SORRY FOR YOU. And I can’t live with myself feeling sorry for someone like you. I gotta move on. THis ends one of two ways: I find you in your cabin and beat you in front of your family, or you come back and we dance once more. For my own sanity, I have to finish you one way or another.
