I really am a fan of just splash pages huh. I swear it makes sense here as this is the first time our protagonist is revealed. Spriggan is amazing and i love them so they deserve all of it.
The pose is an homage to the art that paved the way for how far sequential art has come, but mostly is just a pretty natural pose for an alert feline. Now its time for something completely different~
I can't lie i'm always pretty nervous about executing detailed forest environments. However i'm passionate about this story taking place in a lush natural world and quite stubborn. Its a prison of my own design but i'm a fairly lenient warden lol.
I'm still figuring it out but my biggest takeaway so far is to find a balance of actual detail and implied detail that creates a convincing scene without having to render every single leaf, etc. There's enough actual detail in important details for your brain to fill in the blanks on the rest.
