"appeared" doesn't seem quite accurate.. it was like it unfolded but in reverse
i couldn't even understand what i was seeing at first, and before i could process any of it or even rise to my feet a figure... slid out
they spoke strange words but i knew what they meant
and knowing there was no hope was a strange comfort back then
