so yeah this started out as a super rough sketch to try out some new paper. Clearpoint 100% cotton vellum. The employee at the store told me they knew someone that used it for oil painting? This stuff is as thin or thinner than standard printing paper :o
anyway i just wanted to try a light watercolor-style wash to see what would happen and i ended up liking it and getting carried away. The paper wrinkled a bit (which you can see in the scan) but it performed way better than i expected.
i can definitely see myself using this for light washes in the future but what i REALLY love about it is that it emulates the smooth feel of drawing on printer paper while being much more durable. It will last longer too. also you can erase over and over it'll still hold up
