The Sky Clans of Indulgence are a controversial and alluring sub-faction within Avariel society—renowned for embracing the carnal, the sensual, and the taboo. While most Avariel revere discipline, grace, and restraint, the Indulgents revel in their divine connection to desire, dominance, and pleasure—believing such acts are not shameful, but sacred echoes of Lythara’s will. They operate out of opulent sanctuaries hidden among the peaks and drifting sky-isles, often disguised as temples, theatres, or bathhouses. Within these walls, rituals of claiming, submission, and seduction are performed like holy rites. The Avariel who lead these acts are not simple courtesans—they are choreographers of surrender, dominants woven from wind, silk, and stormlight. Their patrons come from every race—humans foremost, but also elves, tieflings, fae, nymphs, and more—each seeking something different: pain, peace, transformation, or the ecstasy of total surrender. Though frowned upon by more conservative Avariel and deeply taboo among mortal societies, the Indulgents hold power through reputation, wealth, and unspoken influence. Whispers say even Matrons have sought them out—if only once, if only in secret.
