Chapter 65 - Final Step

Comments

It feels a little sad to see the changes in the Targaryen dynasty. I understand why everything turned out differently because of her arrival and the shift of events to Essos, but it’s still a pity that we won’t get to see familiar characters like Daemon or Rhaenyra. We already know their personalities, mannerisms, and inner conflicts from the books and the show, so it’s easier to emotionally connect with them right away. With the new characters, that connection is harder for now. For example, Aerys currently comes across more as an arrogant ruler, but as a person he hasn’t really been explored yet, which makes it difficult to fully latch onto him at this point. Another thought I had. After the third Avatar and all the content around the Na’vi, it crossed my mind how interesting it would be to see a completely new people in this story. Not necessarily the Na’vi themselves, but something similar in spirit — a mortal race, not a new deity. Especially with the world expanding, new territories being discovered, and cultures colliding. What makes them interesting is their way of life and movement — living structures, a deep connection to their environment, and the fact that they could realistically rival dragons rather than just exist in the background. It would be fascinating to see how the world would react: fear, curiosity, attempts at contact or control. Not just the Children of the Forest, but something entirely new. And about the North — I’m almost certain the odds will eventually fall in Ei’s favor. Given the sheer size of the North, the harsh climate, and the amount of people and resources required just to sustain it, there isn’t much of a real choice. Without support, it’s a direct path to extinction: no people means no food, no strength, and no way to survive.

'A Child of the Forest was teaching the existence of the Others in the Academy of Transience. ' I'm glad the North took notice and didn't write it off immediately. Loved this chapter!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Not really. More like each prefecture ( land) has a governor (lord paramount) appointed by Ei for the ease of management. Rather than hereditar seats, the most succesful lord gets appointed for a set amount of years. Kind of like a contitutional monarchy, but not.

So is Raidens kingdom basically a federation?
