Honestly, my knowledge of US politics system is a bit lacking, and I made do with what I was able to research. I thought about getting the new candidate into one of the two parties, but then decided it would be best if I discredited both the democrats and the republicans. I can't do anything about them f ing over the world, but at least this piece of fiction gives me closure.

2026-01-20 10:14:17 +0000 UTCLoving this, including the political side of things, though I'd have left out the third party candidate and have him sign on as a new democrat/republican and basically do the good guy version of a dark horse candidate from within the party structure. He could still point the finger at the old party elite for their bad behavior while wrapping himself in the party ID. Third party candidates just can't fight evenly across all fifty states, it's not a money issue, it's a local ID issue, and that most people, even during the best of times, barely pay enough attention to politics, so making them aware of new candidates and parties isn't really feasible in a short time frame. Still, I'm thrilled some DC comics politics is involved and that Miles is putting an end to the abomination that was the Luthor presidency.
