Project Spotlight: Jessika's Curse

Our next post will be the release date for the upcoming KoD update, but first we wanted to give that spotlight we promised last week. We'll take a moment to talk about another project: Jessika's Curse, from a new team headed by Lord Arioch (who also heads Seeds of Chaos).

Above you can see some lovely art they made for us, showing off the protagonist of the game together with Sabia. In addition to being a nice piece of art, it's an example of the art style you'll find in the game. They have some gorgeous sprites and animations you can see on their Patreon.

Having said that, I'm even more interested in talking about another aspect of Jessika's Curse: the gameplay.

I've long wanted to create an adult tactical RPG in the style of Darkest Dungeon, but I've been beaten to it! Jessika's Curse takes a lot of the strengths of DD but puts a hentai spin on the formula. For example, instead of sanity damage, your characters take lust damage... and you won't be surprised to hear that it doesn't end in heart attack.

This idea has a huge amount of potential and I hope the JC team is able to fulfill their ambitions with this. They've been making good progress so far:

We think Jessika's Curse has a strong chance of being relevant to our patrons' interests, so please check it out!
