Wallpaper #45 - Who Needs Cake...

I was feeling really nostalgic over the comic this month, so for the wallpaper I had the idea to go back and redo one of the oldest images I've ever done of Gamercat. It's not the first image I ever drew of him, but it is the first thing in the comics archive on the website.

The style was very simplified and blocky back then, so it was fun to update it to the current appearance. I did redraw this several times as I was having a hard time finding a balance between the two styles, but I finally decided to completely ditch the 2D look of the cube and it helped so much.

I did have the original image as a shirt way back when, so it might be fun to do another run of shirts with this updated image for nostalgia's sake. Hmm!
