Tier Changes - Part 2
Added 2022-10-29 12:47:16 +0000 UTCAs some may have noticed, I removed a few tiers and options over the past few days. Namely, the Paintreon aspect has been removed entirely, added to the Name a Model which had little interest overall. Two of the high tiers were also removed, largely because of a lack of support, and the other having been a joke more than anything that had already burned me once.
With this cleanup however, I've also adjusted the benefits of tiers, including reworking the HST on them to be appropriate. The important part is that with the 3$ now the main tier, I've upgraded the above tiers.
I would still prefer a lot of low-tier supporters, but I've decided that I want to appreciate those that support me more. So, for the 5$+ tiers, there is now a Commission Priority reward.
I'm constantly asked about commissions, even when I'm on long stints lacking releases due to working on long projects, so for those tiers, whenever commissions open there will be a post here at least a week in advance in order to announce it. In addition, ever commission cycle, there will be two slots guaranteed for Patrons with their names in the credits.
The third slot will go public after Patrons have had their opportunity. If things fill up too much with projects I like, they might end up always going to Patrons. My usual rules and pricing will apply as normal, but this will allow those that keep me running to have a better chance of getting in my works list.
A few caveats. The length of projects always varies, so there's no guarantee of when comms open. This means there's not going to be the chance of just joining when they go live, unless by luck or guessing well based on my release schedule. When they do, I'll likely be giving preference to those who've been in the tier waiting longer, or haven't had a chance to get a commission yet. I will also be more open, if I'm in the middle of a cycle and a couple of pieces are out of the pile, to potentially accept commissions from here before any announcements, though that largely depends on if they tickle my interest (which wanes like the tides when I'm interested in writing a particular fetish or concept).
So, yeah, I think that's about everything. It's been a rough time since learning about the theft, and I've been wanting to properly incentivize Patreon and make it worth it to support my independent work. We'll see how this goes if additional things need to be considered for it.
