Added 2020-02-13 20:39:10 +0000 UTCSo I was unhappy with this model (Canoness Veridyan) overall. I got her and she had manufacturing defects, I wasn't even going to upload her. GW replaced her and I haven't assembled the good one yet, but that made her a good opportunity to learn basing.
I'm actually really happy with the results. It's still subtle like the old black bases, nothing overwhelming to the model (especially my B&W Maidens of the Eclipse), but that addition of texture to draw the eye a bit, turn it from just a model into a scene. I'm gonna be going back and basing all the models I have, and future ones are all gonna have this pretty like, late winter melt basing. Very Canadian IMO as well.
