This is meant to be a place where you can come and look at all the reasonable 1 drops that will commonly come up in Modern for your micrommancer deck. Each section will cover a type of card and every card for that color. While there are a few left off its because they were incredible outlandish and there is a level of clarity and making sure I am helping put people on the right track. So I did leave a few very fringe cards out.
After the section breakdown there is a section where I talk about some of the less clear cards.

Thoughts on the more “fringe” cards
This is just a powerful sideboard tool for stopping combo decks and when combined with Ephemerate and Eternal witness you can set up a soft lock.
Obviously great with Spoils of the vault and Thassa’s Oracle, however that is not the only application. This card is also just the best Fog ever printed. So while not something you're normally interested in, it does increase in potency when combined with ephemerate and eternal witness. Similar to how some decks use silence is a lock piece for combo decks. This is great for creatures and one shot combo decks, like belcher.
Strong card against both discard and burn decks. While Veil is stronger against discard and counter magic, having one of these can go a long way to fix problematic matchups.
This is a powerful catch all but only for one drop. In certain matchups this card is incredibly powerful, Hammer, Death Shadow, and Lantern to name a few. If hammer continues to tick up I think we will see players move to this card to answer Aid, Hammer and Esper sentinel at instant speed.
There are a few draw spells and card advantage spells people want in these decks, like epiphany at the drownyard. I like this card in that slot if you think you need something like that. Having an army in a single card is an effect that is not easily replaceable and that's something I personally value very highly.
A way to just break up creatures' synergies late in a game and a fog early. Very fringe but if you looking for cards to loop with witness to hold off multiple creatures this is a fine option in blue
Often a more efficient March of Swirling Mist but only hits one creature. Worth noting that this plus teferi 3 will just remove the creature forever.
While niche this is a good card to protect your Eternal Witness loops. If you're expecting a lot of spot removal especially in white this is a good card to turn to.
Another niche card but good to have here if cards like spell skite make a comeback or some zero power creature starts making headway in the metagame.
A counter spell for both Cascade decks and fringe combos. It's not great versus underworld breach but will counter a spell cast off breach as an example. So at the time of writing this it's a great Cascade hate spell it does have added utility. You also have the fail case of it being cancel, and this deck goes fairly long so this is a totally passable card. At the time of writing this I have considered playing in the main deck.
This card is one many people love in this deck. I however differ. Our deck is just a pile of answers that are fringe; you can pretty easily split it as the one card vs the rest. Now you do get to see a lot of cards and look for that one answer you need, it's a lot of mana to do so. I would sooner play expressive iteration and lose the tutorablity than play this card. It's a bit reductive to say but it's true. This card is just often not good enough on rate.
While on its face it's worse than epiphany its only one mana to draw a card and in the super late game you can often get a few buybacks and start moving through your deck. I am low on this card but if you want a tutorable card advantage spell this is technically one, and the fail case has me higher on it then other blue options.
A split second surgical is just something to keep in mind for weird combo decks. For example it will often beat the breach combo deck and make them unable to kill you. Niche but worth remembering
All situational answer spells. They are here just so you can look for the answers to these problems. They should all be fairly straight forward :)
While an incredible fringe it can be really good against wide decks. Obviously it takes a decent amount of mana but if you are able to do it for an amount they cant pay then you will win. Honestly this card probably needs some infinite mana situation to be really worth thinking about. Side note the art in this card is so good
In more black heavy builds of the deck this could be an ephemerate replacement.
A powerful planeswalker answer spell that also has other applications. This is one that could see play now but as time goes on more planeswalkers will be added to the game and you will need answers for them. This card is also weirdly good against decks like Dice tron so if you're playing against that deck a lot this does have text in that matchup.
While surgical often gets the nod in most sbs given that it's a “free” spell this is a card that is underplayed. Hitting three cards is sometimes what matters more than having a “free spells.”
Just a combo finish this deck can play with Angels Grace and Thassa’s Oracle
This is a weird card advantage spell. Much like Postmortem Lunge in a more black heavy build this could be an ephemerate replacement.
This card is good for answering decks where we want to kill 2-3 artifacts at once. While not a good mana trade its easier on the mana then cards like shattering spree. So if you're splashing red this is a much better choice. This is a more niche card but one you do want to keep in mind.
This card is very weak in the current builds that are mostly Bant splashing red. However in a more red build this card is a great option over By Force, as it's cheaper. If your deck isn't heavy read I would suggest playing another card.
A fine wrath/win condition. If you're expecting a lot of low to the ground decks this is a fine card, as long as they are not also playing burn. This leaves only decks like Elves and Merfolk. However it's something that you want to keep in your back pocket as an answer to those decks.
For the most part this is worse than Veil of Summer. However it does counter “Blue Instant” so while normally that's a counter spell it doesn't have to be. So when compiling this Bible its good to have these corner case cards in our back pocket. So that if a blue instant combo deck ever becomes super popular we have this as an out.
Just another card advantage option, I am very low on epiphany at the drown yard as it often only gets you one card you want while this card will always get you two (if you spend at least 2) so it is actually card advantage and some selection. A niche card for sure but it has earned a place here.
This is mostly here as a land that micromancer can grab. There is a green version as well but this one is close to playable on its front side so I have only included this one.
A lot of the builds have a delirium package for both Unholy Heat and Traverse. This card is a fine traverse replacement if you're wanting to move away from the delirium angle of the deck.
Very fringe but in some cases it's better to put a card on bottom then the graveyard. When a deck or card where that is the case appears this will be the answer. (note this does get around indestructible which is rare on enchantments but still)
The tutorable version of Eternal Witness. While not as strong with cards like ephemerate it does let us get another use on any powerful spells. This card is a bit niche but strong especially in the combo versions that lean on having the combo.
A classic from the pre MH1 days that has been pushed out by force of vigor. However with this deck the tutorabiliy has it as a good bullet to solve
This one is very narrow but if your local area is infested with Hammer I could see it. Otherwise I am not a fan.
Another one of the card advantage spells. It's incredibly mana intensive so I am lower on it, but it's a card that one day we may turn to.
