Here is the long lost PDM 2 prototype from 2016. I've posted many screenshots but it's never been playable until now.

• It's not much but a time capsule of where the game was going when it was in this state.
• This is probably the first Stealth based killer game I worked on. Long before Nun Massacre and Stay out of the House
• The gameplay was meant to be very vertical and platform-y - you would have to climb up furniture and make close jumps to evade the Driller killer and reach new areas.
• It was also meant to be Metrovania-like, taking place in one huge building and having you unlock tools and abilities to unlock new places.
• This was the first version but it had various iterations before being eventually abandoned. The closest released relative is Meat Cleaver Mutilator but that removes the climbing and platforming aspects.
• I plan on using a few of the ideas I had for the upcoming PDM full release. So you're in for a lot of surprises.

I've had a ton of trouble figuring out how to expand the game from the demo to something full length. I started with some initial ideas but after spending a lot of time with them, it was clearly the wrong direction.

It's apparent that most people love the demo. It's been called the scariest game of all time. And it works great for what it is: the mechanics are basic but highly effective for a 45 minute game. But extended to 3 or 4 hours and they'll quickly grow irritating.

On the other hand, changing things up with the AI would make the game a lot less scary than it currently it. I don't want to release a longer but lesser version.

So after a lot of work, I think I've come up with something that stays true to the original and keeps the game consistently scary and evolving as you play through it.

But what is that?

In the mean time, Rewind Or Die is coming in April!

Rewind or Die is a heart-thumping, blood-dripping blast from the past. Your co-worker flaked out on their shift yet again and it's up to you to cover them. And of course, there's a serial killer who's been staking their claim in that area. Just another day at a video rental store... right?
