I've been designing more of the farm house. Aiming for something like People Under the Stairs or the dream in Max Payne. Sort of a nightmarish claustrophobic maze. Getting the fixed cameras right is hard because it's easy enough to get lost as it is, never-mind the cameras disorienting you.
I'm trying use as few cameras as possible and have them placed in a consistent direction: if you're moving away from the camera, you should still be moving away from it when the angle changes, rather than the view flipping to the other side. This has been a weak point in my other games, so I'm trying to get it right this time.
First person toggle is a big help too, if you really don't know where you're going

My failed silent hill cam: https://youtu.be/jnklFDndYec
I tried doing a dolly cam, but it's going to take too much time to get it working properly. I need it to move towards the player while locked on to the dolly track. It should stop when it's at a minimum distance (lets say 1 meter)
It should also move towards the player when player isn't visible (like behind a wall) It kind of works, but glitches out sometimes. If you run, it won't keep up
