I finished the inventory last week. Ended up refactoring it so the code is much easier to work with down the line.
I've decided to rebuild the hotel level into a map closer to MCM. The hotel map I previously showed just doesn't feel right to me. I originally envisioned the setting to feel like a dollhouse, or an old boarding house. Maze like and claustrophobic. The map I ended up with is too open, full of hallways connecting to single rooms. The building can be crossed easily. Another problem is the size. It's at least twice the size of MCM and filling the entire thing with content would be a huge job.
The new map I'm working on is build in sections. There are some main halls and stairs but a lot of areas can only be accessed through one doorway or one stair case. If the killer comes in behind you, you might be stuck in a certain section for a while.
The new video is a preview. The texturing isn't done yet.
