I’m reminded of Milan Kundera’s 1967 novel The Joke, about a Czech student whose life is derailed after he makes a joke about the communist party to his girlfriend.

Love it when Roy was a little bit down on Ayn Rand and then quickly had a more positive take when Bret recommended a few of her works (no, I myself have never read Rand; I must confess that the physical girth of her books have made me hesitant to read). Roy is also one of the first guests to go toe-to-toe with Bret on movie grosses. All in all, a very enjoyable couple of episodes. Adam - Is David Mamet a candidate for an upcoming guest appearance? I loved his recent “Oink Oink”.
