Alexander Quattlander

Richard writes the same thing every time I look at the comments! :)

J Hay

Fabulous as usual thank you

PETER GREER

One from the Heart just got a re-release in theaters...

Marcelo

Damn right you are!

Magnus Blomdahl

I'm looking for the Podcast One episodes, like the one with Walter Hill, or Kanye West encore. Is it me or are they missing from Patreon?

Giovanni Loddo

Seems like there’s enough interesting movies out that could warrant a ~45 minute Bret monologue covering some of the aforementioned movies. I still like the podcast but I really miss solo Bret doing his thing. These guests are mostly fine but it’s not why I pay for this podcast monthly.

Charlie C

Probably not as sick as I am of seeing DEI shoehorning Congans into Victorian period dramas.

BrienPiechos

I agree it’s fatiguing. But letting people know (for example) that Marylin Manson has been exonerated (and I have personal reasons to care about that ) is important because no one else is saying it. So, good on Bret there. 👊

Patrick

Would love to hear Bret's thoughts on Poor Things, Zone Of Interest, Anatomy Of A Fall, The Holdovers, Saltburn...

Justin

Yes agreed but it needs to be brought into the light until it’s finally gone…or more likely until the pendulum inevitably swings back and opportunists claiming victimization find more fashionable ways to mask their attempts to grab power.

Vin Bravo

Is there an AI tool where BEE could impose his own voice on the guests? I listen because I like his voice. He’s the only podcaster I can stand listening to. It’s soothing. With the interviews suddenly there’s this other voice in the room that isn’t as soothing. Maybe give his voice to Adam too

Happyhead

With all due I’m soooo sick of hearing about cancel culture

Rowan Oliver

Henry Cavill was so right with his controversial comment that he just plain doesn’t flirt with women anymore “for fear of being called a rapist or something.” Sadly the cancel mob encourages half the population not to take legit accusations seriously because of how indiscriminately they go after anyone whose been accused of anything by anyone

Harold B

Thank you

Jorge Espinha

😂

Below is the OMNI library in full. I think we're safe... doubt the internet illuminati is monitoring bret's patreon comments https://archive.org/details/omni-archive/Best_of_OMNI_1_1980/

Devon H. Dolan

Well…his reputation was trashed . Not a nice thing to be hanging over your head: rape charge . A very vague rape charge

Jorge Espinha

The secret of comedy isn’t the rule of three but of 3000

Jorge Espinha

Omni was gone the last time I checked

Jorge Espinha

Pssst , don’t tell otherwise it will be taken down

Jorge Espinha

Please, no.

Jonathan Davis

This guy’s instincts are incredible.

Darren Ankenman

A fair bit of the OMNI and Heavy Metal libraries are on Archive.Org if you wanna scroll through yesteryear

Devon H. Dolan

He’s surfing on Venice Beach most days

Happyhead

I agree with John. Bring on James Franco. It'd be interesting to hear what he's up to. (A one time Hollywood darlilng who's now a pariah.)

Ben

Please, don't keep us waiting.

Ben

That laugh at 22:16 just made my year already : )

Twan Van Geel

His reputation, however, is forever tarnished and in the age of perception-is-reality…

Justin

Last I checked Brett Kavanaugh is holding a lifelong seat as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, i.e. quite the opposite of "cancelled."

mr greyez

Wait, so what is the point of seasons of the podcast? I had assumed the announcement of the end of season 7 meant Bret and Adam were taking a break. But apparently (and thankfully) not!!

Harold B

am going to listen on my run. will say more later, after my run.

richard owain roberts

that guy was pretty cool. I used to read Heavy Metal and OMNI when I was a little kid and listened to a lot of Black Flag and played D&D

Poetical Gore

Should have James Franco on next!

John Q. Thompson

Fascinating guest - he says some particularly illuminating things right towards the end. Delightful how Los Angeles embodies itself in very specific way of the best of these eps

Seneca Garcia

I love Bret's de-cancellation roundup
