get off this planet for being deficient and telling me to calm down when I actually have common sense...not to mention stalking me...this is from 9 months ago 😂😂😂...desperate retard 😂😂😂

Neil G.

Calm down

Harry G

Is it Coppola or Cappola?

Marko Mancic

Apocalypse Now is not a masterpiece?? It is the greatest film ever made and that's a fact...oh wait, it's too genuinely intellectual for Wasson; WASSON IS NOT A THOUGHTFUL, INTELLECTUAL WRITER??? 😱😱😱😂😂😂...ahhh, guess he's just a semi-retarded geekboy 😂 go back to your generic Godfather, Wasson, and go fuck yourself...as usual...anyway, he's an adorable, geeky fanboy...who gives into pseudo intellectual horseshit...that's why he n' Bret get along so well 😂😂

Neil G.

yes, people care about your run...least of all, Bret 😂😂👍👍

Neil G.

Another great podcast! Thank you! Loved it!

Liska

Actually, early-ish in this episode, Bret said it both ways in one question.

J Hay

Is that your comment for every BEE podcast? :)

J Hay

Bret knows more about movies and the movie business than this guy.

John Presnall

Coppola had this 60s idea that established institutions were out to get you, but they’re not that way. So says Sam Wasson.

John Presnall

I Count it….as one of the best films of all time.

Kristeen

Amazing chat! Reading ‘The Big Goodbye’ now and can’t wait to read this one!

Nathan Stewart

Good book

Normaling

FFC has 5 greats if you, um, count Dracula. He belongs on the Mt. Rushmore of directors just for Godfather thru Apocalypse. That run was so absurdly great, it was like the movie gods confined him back down to earth for the remainder of career.

Jon A.

if Sam even dreams about hosting again he better wake up and apologize! :P

Poetical Gore

Maybe all of this is in Wasson’s book - which I can’t wait to read over the holidays. Big Goodbye was a masterpiece.

Paul Richardson

Fun fact: Dennis Jakob is the guy whose rooftop in Venice Beach Jim Morrison slept on in summer ‘65 when he, under the influence of then-legal LSD / Jakob’s grass, wrote most of the early Doors’ songs. Also, Jakob later claimed it was his suggestion that Coppola use Conrad’s Heart of Darkness as a template for Apocalypse Now.

Looking forward to this tomorrow morning. It’s a good book, kinda overcooked but with lots of energy. The Quentin interviews were great. Seems like the podcast is back on track and yes 5mins with Sam and ms camp were more than enough. Name dropping boredom. But check out- The Zone of Interest, May December, Poor Things, The Holdovers. Cinema is not over.

Chris Jones

am going to listen on my run. will say more later, after my run.

richard owain roberts

Who else could’ve set the record straight on the EO mixer, once and for all?

Max

I’m still traumatised by the trump voice lady

Keith campbell

The best! 😆

Patrick

Way to go Bret for finally nailing “Coppola”

Ashley

Just incredible…thank you

PETER GREER

Love Sam’s books, but I hope he offers an apology to your paid listeners for the total fiasco of an episode he guest-hosted.
