Such a fantastic interview.

John Q. Thompson

This was fantastic. Seriously. Love hearing older guests. It's important we hear their voices and stories.

paul dakota

Really good episode.

grainpulp

Delightful episode! Class Of 1984 is a killer movie too, starring a terrifying Tim Van Patten, featuring Roddy MacDowell!

Shawn Kilroy

Such a fun episode , one of the best this season

Did Tom really say he went to a movie high on poppers ?? Was that a thing in the 70s? For straight people ??

Keith campbell

Love this. Tom Holland is excellent. PSYCHO II is underrated, love Meg Tilly in it. But Bret, It's "Wis-ter" not "Wur-chester" :)

R. M.

I’ve found myself enjoying PSYCHO 2 over the years. It’s not brilliant filmmaking but a shockingly honorable sequel to kick off the following sequels. Enjoyed this conversation very much!

Nick B

Great guest. A real old school dude that came off authentic and endearing.

Alexander Quattlander

Loved the Tom Holland interview - and the name dropping.

Dave

Great interview--and would love to find that Rona Barrett clip!

Megan Abbott

Likewise.

Paul Richardson

I'm with Mr. Holland. I probably read more now than I ever have. We live in an era of "content" overload. Too much available to watch all at once. I've kind of tapped out of keeping up with what's new. If I do watch a series, it's something that ended at least two years ago, and I take my time with it. I don't binge watch it in week, instead I'll drag it out over a few months. Otherwise, I'm reading fiction and non-fiction or watching old movies.

Billy Schafer

Well done Bret. Pure class

Vin Bravo

Fun interview. I remember watching Fright Night on VHS when I was 6 or 7. The poster alone scared me. And even at that age I thought Chris Sarandon was🔥

Phoenix

absolutely delightful

Nick Anderson

Haha no the 5 views is more a remark to indicate that he is shouting to the void giving nobody his air time when he could be talking about editing for Sidney Lumet with the ultimate new Hollywood appreciater like Bret

Keagan Afonso

5 views! That just the kind of buzz the BEE podcast is looking for in new guests! : ). Kidding. That'd be a solid guest.

bpvalentine

Bret the editor of All that jazz, as well as Network , Alan Heim would be a perfect guest I just heard him do an interview on a YouTube channel with like 5 views- I'm sure he is LA based and easy to book

Keagan Afonso

Just delightful. Thank you for interacting so beautifully with, and recording the experiences and memories of, this generation.

Thomas Edwards

Halfway thru and loving every minute. 🙌

Patrick

Psycho 2 is quite good. Thanks for another fabulous episode Brett

Frania

Never read the book. But I thought the talking fetus was surreal, heartbreaking and beautiful.

Thumperdinck

amazing interview. fright night was one of my favorite horror movies when i was a kid. have heard psycho 2 is actually a very good/underrated sequel. great stuff. great episode. and the best reaction to the eagles question lolol

Collin Myers

Do you have a comment on the talking CGI fetus? Thought the rest of it was great, very faithful to the JCO source material.

Rebecca Luxton

That was utterly wonderful. The bit where he asked Bret if he’d read his book and Bret replied ‘of course’ was lovely. He was delighted by that.

James__

Blonde is a must review!!!!

Joseph Orlando

We want to hear about Blonde! My favorite film of the year so far. A legit masterpiece imho.

Thumperdinck

Hoping for a Bret review of Blonde and the controversy around it soon!

OSOS

Nice!!! Excited to listen.

grainpulp

was very curious how a podcast w/ bret and the actor tom holland would go lol.. excited for this regardless 🤣

Nick Not Nolte

am going to listen on my run. will say more later, after my run.

richard owain roberts

Excellent épisode thank you 🙏🏻

PETER GREER

“I’m still trying to get around to seeing Bill and Teds’Excellent Adventure” -pretty funny quip. Also, it still remains uncanny Bret’s reading habits 😅 - another fascinating Pure LA/Hollywood guest.

Seneca Garcia

LEGEND. Psycho 2 has gotta be one of the greatest horror sequels
