Masane and Riho wishing you a Happy Mother's Day !!
Added 2023-05-17 09:17:09 +0000 UTCI was away from my desktop during the Mother's Day weekend, so I did some illustration work on my ipad in the meantime~
Masane and Riho Amaha from the Witchblade anime. Regardless of the quality of the show itself, Masane was an absurdly hot character / design. Definitely was the one to have convinced me of the appeal of jeans!
Anyway, immediately derailed myself there, but I ended up not being able to resist the urge to draw her for mother's day! I hadn't drawn her since the show's debut back in like.. 2008? So it's been a while! Was refreshing to revisit. I definitely would love to try again, maybe a more direct pic of her standing.
Her Witchblade form is fun too, but I actually like her casual version by far the most. It'd be funny if the show ended up that she can transform, but it keeps getting interrupted and most of the show is just Masane being herself and/or learning how to take care of Riho in general. Kind of like how the best parts of Buddy Daddies is the parenting parts of the show, despite the action movie elements in it too haha.
Included higher res version of the images here, plus variants, WIP / sketches. And for good measure, some of the old Masane sketches from back in the day!
EDIT: Dug a little deeper into the archives and found a bunch more Masane pics, including an actual Witchblade sketch lol! Plus, a bunch of Filia as the Witchblade drawings. I figure I could add those in here too.
