Kari, echoing a sentiment that I'm sure my patrons must feel a lot! π
So please accept this pic as a kind of themed apology for taking so long over the next chapter of TLWL, which I promising would be posted last weekend... and then Tuesday... and have still failed to deliver! At the eleventh hour I thought of something that I could add, and it felt like such a big improvement - creating a touch of tension, foreshadowing some future events, etc - that I decided to include it.
There's a touch of polishing and restructuring required do to blend it in, but the chapter will definitely be completed and posted before the end of the day on Wednesday. On the plus side, I I'm really happy with how this is going now, after getting badly stuck for a while, and I'm feeling pumped to "finish" the story!
As a further apology, there'll be a mini impromptu competition (or semi-impromptu, seeing as I'm mentioning it here) to go with the chapter. The winner will get a free commission pic of any of my characters in a pose setting of their choosing (within my moral and technical remit). All will be explained in the post.
Meanwhile, apologies again for the wait. I hope you'll be more forgiving than Kari (will she go for the cookies, or the rolling pin?π¬)

2023-08-14 16:45:56 +0000 UTCGiving higher tier patrons a preview and getting feedback sounds like a really good idea. I'd be interested to know what others thing. In the past, I didn't want to "spoil" the final versions by posting too soon and then having to backtrack and change/insert other parts. But I guess there's no obligation to read the previews. Higher tier patrons could choose to read them and give feedback, or just wait for the finished versions. Might put the suggestion out there in a post at the weekend. PS Just formatting Part 9 "preview" now. It'll be up very shortly (along with a definitive post for Part 8, which I've just realised I hadn't done).

2023-08-09 21:13:18 +0000 UTCWhat if you just posted something at the deadlines you set, even if itβs incomplete/not to your liking, and then post the revised versions for 4 dollar patrons? Or the other way around; giving the higher paying patrons early access and potential to give feedback toward the finished version? This way you could avoid continually pushing things back, while still somewhat adhering to your standards.
