The new Custodian will be either Aegis, Horizon, or Paragon. Take your pick!

2022-10-20 00:23:54 +0000 UTCUpdated and Cleaned up Aegis' personal info: Lysander is the first of the Duchess of the Grasping vine’s Custodians, holding a deep personal history with his mistress stretching back to the age of elven enslavement before her reincarnation into the Divine. Whatever transpired in those distant days of suffering and sacrifice before her transcendence is not fully known but it has left a wound of shame that only devout penance through unquestioning servitude can salve… and the sacrifice of his body as her consort. Through the cultivation, control, and constraint of his feelings and emotions by the sadomasochistic training and experiments of the Duchess and her reborn memories, Lysander has gained the ability to bend and shape the flow of mana around his body as if surrounded by an unseen aura. Magical energies and the objects manipulated by them flow around the knight like the wind upon a bird’s wing, leaving him unscathed and uplifted as he stands against the enemies of his beloved. Protection spells and enchantments fair little better, forced to give way to his blows or to the blades of weapons forged to channel his gift. Thus, he was named “Aegis”, reflecting the ‘blessing’ that had been placed upon him to be his Divine’s protector and champion. Despite this boon, Aegis is no more physically empowered than any other elven warrior and has had to dedicate his life to honing his martial skills to surpass the mundane and magical alike. Past the personification of heroic ‘elven virtue’ and undying devotion and duty to the Duchess, Lysander is still very much the boy who failed to protect the girl he loved due to personal weakness in his own eyes. Though none would place fault upon him for such a past, as he was but a child, such facts do not save him from his own shame or his Mistress' judgement. This has led to a personality of inadequacy that must constantly be atoned for to win back the love that could have been if he had been stronger… and unending punishment until such time. The dark and sadistic nature now within his mistress has taken advantage of this, vowing him to Chastity and humiliation within her presence and performing acts of ‘service’ to a chosen few, conditioned to only find release in his degradation and the fleeting pleasure of his mistress. Because of her hold upon his thoughts and spirit, it is said only the magic of her thorns has ever drawn blood from his flesh.

As the name suggests, they are meant to protect the Divinities and the full blooded Elves. As for half elves, there are 50 years worth of an island nation's population put into breeding camps. So it's not a small amount. The elves are not only waging war against Warden's people, but the entire world.

Love the fact you put weaknesses to make it more realistic in terms of abilities. Do you have an idea on the number of custodians and half elves? I imagine the population isn't that large or the warden's kingdom is just small comparatively speaking.
