In terms of mecha as a genre it's quite broad so as long as your logic is consistent you don't have to worry too much about it. Of course super robots can be incredibly fun because they are just superhero stories involving giant mecha. I'm a Gundam fan so I lean more towards the real robot genre, not the Gundam hasn't indulged in its fair amount of "space magic" too. This was a really cool audio Miss Creature. Very cool indeed.
