That was a mis-post. Sorry

I learned about the John-verse from Friendly Fire. I was listening to Ben and Adam's Star Trek podcast. I'm now fully involved in Omnibus, RotL, RW, the Washington State Hurricanes crowd funding, and now John's new patreon. I'm very disappointed with the actions of Ben and Adam. I understand they may have had to make a business decision to end FF, but they didn't have to do it like that. They both know John long enough to know that he isn't a hateful monster. They could have made a public statement that John was not being characterized properly by the mob. But they acted like cowards.

John, please do a whole podcast with the "Shape Game Guy Voice."

I don’t live in the Mission but I used to walk by it all the time, and I was thinking the same thing. It’s now a legit event space, I saw an ACT-associated play there before lockdown.

Glad to be one of John's people.

Oh man, great show. I just want to say that the loss of Friendly Fire, for the fans, was shocking... I don’t mean to be hyperbolic but that show had become part of my TGIF routine. When it just went away, with zero word form the hosts... I very much felt like I was being ghosted by a group of guys I thought were my forever friends. Knowing that there were already existing shows in the can I expected it all to drop in one big package in the Max Fun bonus feed. When that didn’t happen I felt like I had been scammed. So I was double shocked to learn, in this episode, that the other two guys wanted to take down all of the existing shows!?!?!?! I mean, what a way to say fuck you to thousands of fans. It remains a frantic head-scratcher for me. How do you not give shit about your audience? At any rate, I’m thankful Road Work continues. It made my day to see it drop, pretty much, when I would have looked for the latest FF. Thanks guys. Peace and love.

That building in San Francisco John couldn’t remember the name of is the Armory. I lived practically next door to it for almost five years, which wasn’t great frankly. I think the people who owned it moved their company to Vegas after I left town.

Love these episodes. I would encourage John to look to two people he knows personally, Ted Leo and Paul F. Tompkins, who I don’t think most would consider “big deals” but are the best at what they do, make great art, and have hardcore fans who will support them no matter what. You don’t have to win over everyone, just the ones that matter. I think John is heading in a great direction. Maybe this will lead to us finally hearing that unfinished Long Winters album? ;)

And Dan sleeps suspended upside down in Batman kit!?!? The circle is complete.

Very happy to be one of John’s People!
