On Patreon Set-Up

So this is kind of important for all you guys.

I've been thinking more of how to set this thing up lately and the way things should be organized.  That means tiers, goals, and whether or not I should make things monthly or per production.

So I wanted to ask all of you what you think!

First, should we stay monthly or go on a production basis?

I know not all of you are here just for Various Happenings.  I also know that each and every one of you are here to support me and I really appreciate it! ^v^  But this means that doing things on a per page/production basis might seem a little off, especially if you've been a patron of mine for a long time.

Still, I feel like this would also incentivize me to not only work on the comic and feel good about it, but also to work on other comic stuff such as the silly Eddie smut comics I've been thinking about doing forever or stuff like Spooky's Castle and Foxtail.

Would that be something that you all would be interested in?  Do I make enough content per month that the per-month system is fair or fine, or do you think that it would help us as a community to go per page/product?

Do you see the main thing here as Various Happenings, or is it everything I do?

I need a little feedback in on this to decide how to go forward.

Also, what sort of goals do you think I should work towards?  If we do tie the payouts to the number of pages done, then it's not really fair to make that a goal.  What would you like to see?  Commentary?  More additions to the secret gallery? (I've been scanning a lot of old stuff as of late.)

Please, let me know what you think.

And finally, do the lot of you prefer the $1 for entry method or would you like to see tiers again?  I felt bad about having tiers on monthly content because... well... I wasn't certain about what I was going to produce in a month, so I couldn't really fully be confident about what you were going to get.  I didn't feel right, even if you were supporting me at a high level, about offering things I couldn't necessarily give.  It tripped me up at the beginning and I've been gunshy about it ever since, so let me know there, too.

The main thing here is that I want to make this both worth my time and your money so that I can make a living doing something that I enjoy and that you enjoy.   I've got to give a little and take a little and I really want to know what the FSS community is interested in.  I know there aren't a lot of us, but that makes this even MORE important right now.  I want us to grow and produce more cool stuff in the future.

Please comment.  Let me know what you think on this.  This affects you as much as it does me, and your voices are the ones I need to hear from this.

Thank you for your time.  Thank you for your support.  And thanks for listening.

Yay, professional mindset is a go! On the topic of Monthly vs Production when it comes to your work it more so depends on what everyone here is wanting to support. Where many of us simply want to support you personally others down the line might only want to support Various Happenings, your Visual Novel or whatever other project you might have. More so than not, I guess on an average, if Production only was ONLY to support Various Happenings, then it would round up to around $4-$5 dollars a month, which is still rather cheap. Not to mention Patreon can put on a block of how much patrons pay per month. All in all, a healthy balance would actually be By Product. Next, I personally love seeing everything you post. It keeps things fresh and interesting and actually even fun! So I think keeping this as it is would be a wonderful idea. Finally, the Tiers...Welcome to the minefield everyone! I can fully understand your hesitation with this because finding that healthy balance of Patreon/Patron ratio is darn near impossible! But, I think if you made things fun and interesting, it could work~ Still give people the choice of popping a dollar per work to support and be in a "Hall of Supporters" is nice and you should certainly still keep that! But higher Tiers could offer rewards, such as Discounts on Commissions, monthly free sketch, cameos in future projects and such as that. Personally, if you DID go per product, I wouldn't go any higher than $10/per post.

Personally I'm willing to support your choice in whatever you choose. With that said, I wouldn't mind some hentai comic's with Eddy being posted here. As for the tier system, while I do like how it is with it being a more casual laid-back I-don't-really-need-the-money-but-if-you-want-to-support-me-here-you-go view, but then again if you should decide to do tiers, I'd be more than happy to have a look at those too.

Personally per month is fine. To a point, my support is relatively unrelated to the actual tiers available unless there's a particular reward attached, i just like to provide support and frequently don't even remember to check my patreon perks. That said I'm probably atypical as a patron in that.
