My Golden Blood Episode 10 Reaction

Comments

I still think Tonkla could still be alive. There’s still 2 eps left. He can still come back. Also we must remember that people grieve in different ways. Even if Tonkla is really dead, let us not forget the denial stage. Even though Tonkla died in front of Tong, doesn’t mean Tong has fully processed everything. It’s very common actually for people not to feel anything initially and then it hits weeks later. Maybe Tong is intentionally focusing hard on Mark to avoid feeling the pain of losing his friend. Just because Tong isn’t balling is eyes out or acting in the typical grieving way doesn’t mean he isn’t going through a grieving process. Anyway we shall see what last 2 eps have to offer.

Nakan this week: "Do you think I want power? You're wrong! I want to get rid of Thara." Nakan last week: "I'm the only one who will get to drink your blood." He doesn't give a shit what happened to the other golden bloods. He just use that to get Mark to consider him less of a threat than Thara, but he and Thara are exactly the same. What I don't get (and it's the thing that makes the least sense to me on this show of many senseless things) is why Thara kept Nakan around all this time if she knew he was a threat and plotting against her. She's had the power to rid herself of him many times over the years before the power of the golden blood waned. She can see everything else, but not his threat? I actually don't get the motives of either villain. Why wouldn't Nakan attack her directly now when she's at her weakest? She can't/won't drink Tong's blood until he's fully ripened, so right now would be the perfect time to strike. But he keeps going after Tong who's blood he also won't drink until he's ripe. They're both just tossing the ball around.

I’m sorry to say this because I adore Gawin and Joss😋 but this vampire series is not giving what it’s supposed to be giving. I’m disappointed cause my expectations were high and it’s not being met. Silver lining of all this is the JossGawin pairing🥰😘, looking forward to only friends, different setting, hopefully better story. The series is not bad but it’s not it.

We were not shocked by the death per se… we were just gagged by the preview being exactly what we thought it was. The idea of them moving on so fast… I think that gave us hope that he was not dead. The bath scene could have been used for Tong to deal with the death instead it felt “as long as I have my man, I’m good”

Guys, really!! It was clear since the beginning that Tonkla would die, and the forshadowing in the last episodes was huge, I still can't believe you're that shocked about it. The way they dealt with the death of Tonkla was a bit rushed, I think it's because a lot still needs to happen and there are only 2 eps left, let's also not forget Tonkla died peacefully with a smile asking Tong to live his life. And of course Thara is the main vilain that was so obvious 😅 And indeed, Tong and Mark are literally blinded by their love for each other 🙄 about the bath scene for me it's logic to see our big romantic Mark doing that to try to console Tong. It's so fun seing you guys having the exact opposite reaction than I had 😂 this show is so predictable to me!

I just have 1 question? That was Mark cat from orphanage so the cat is 100 years old too?

But like, just cuz they were in the tub together does NOT mean they had sex, just saying. To relax my brain and destress I totally have baths with candles and bath salts and whatnot so that seems normal to me for relaxation and being held and given affection and physical intimacy like he's doing just MIGHT be one of Tong's love languages and helps him feel safe and protected after his tragedy. Plus some people mourn by temporarily escaping reality so even if they DID have sex that's a completely normal and valid way to turn off your brain and not have to embrace all of the emotions for a short time. My best friend lost her mom and escaped her heartbreak by basically slutting it up for a couple weeks and it WASN'T someone she was in a relationship with so *shrugs* lotsa small issues I have with the show but not everyone grieves the same and I can't say I blame Mark for what happened either. And it is rushed with the mourning scenes because we're on episode 10 of 12, they can't focus too long on it and let the sadness consume Tong unless that is part of the storyline and focal point.
