That man made up more scenarios in his head than Cir with his parallel lives and used them all as reasons to keep the man he loved at a distance. Beautiful man, but my goodness Fujisawa was dense. Say what you will about Kaori, but she at least wasn't deluding herself about her actions and how they were impacting Hagiwara. She knew she was hurting him, but just couldn't bring herself to be honest, because she knew it would be the end of the relationship. I was so ready to give him a pass once we got his version of events, because he's so pretty, but then we got his version of events. He made everything about himself. Starting with Sei's parents deaths. HE let his guilt dictate their relationship. HE decided that Sei didn't really like him and only had fond feelings towards him because he'd been supportive of him during his grief. HE decided that it was better for them not to have an intimate relationship because of his misplaced guilt. HE decided that Sei asking for sex for three years was not really what Sei's wanted. HE was fine with Sei living by his rules, like a kept spouse until it was clear that Sei was potentially seeking more elsewhere, then HE decided to get him a tv as a salve. Sir! He even decided he was ready to move and that Sei should quit his job and become fully dependent on him, even though he was still not prepared to provide Sei with what he actually wanted. Then of course HE did what he did and there was no coming back from that. He and Sei could have had a great life together if he hadn't been so insistent on living out his version of things. I thought the email was spam. It certainly was written like many of the weird spam emails I get from some Russian lady looking for a sponsor.
