Spyglass Heatsink Project Preview
Added 2022-09-15 16:00:54 +0000 UTCThis was a smaller idea that I had for a while and it ultimately ended up morphing into a pretty big project, so this is what I have mainly been working on for the past month. For those wondering the fogman hiver animation and Ultrakill Sentry model are also still on track to be done by the end of this month!
The idea for this project was based around Titanfall 1's ending with the remnant fleet being established. With no need for actual human soldiers for combat anymore they were migrated to "specialty roles". Anyway with Spyglass being the physical manifestation of the IMCs supercomputer the assumption is that he would generate a ton of heat from all that processing and so to get to the point... yada yada yada using humans as a sort of "organic heatsink" to lower temps by shoving them between his steamy ass. The thermodynamics of this probably don't make much sense but its hot so lets just suspend our disbelief ^^
Onto the WIPs!
New collision simulation method using geometry nodes. Graciously given to me by @DiffusedLizard on twitter. This was also be used for the bots ass morphing around the humans head.

Animation Preview! I used a slightly different technique to animate this scene. Not too sure if I like it more or not just yet. The full Animation preview is attached below.

Preview of the steam sim coming off of Spyglass's Ass. In the completed project it will not be this visible, this is merely just a preview representation.

Finally for this update I decided to show the process/breakdown of me creating the interior environment for the scene! Just the geometry for now. Texturing will be shown in the next WIP ^^
