Storm chase May 17 - TX or OK? And Yesterday’s Burrito

Good afternoon Patrons,

I’ve been bouncing back-and-forth on my target today but it now seems that I’m targeting Oklahoma somewhere between the two purple circles . We’ve got some crazy parameters as well as some not so great parameters. So I’m just gonna drive into the middle of it all and keep a sharp eye on observations within striking distance.

YESTERDAY WAS FAST! I was able to stay with the tornadic storm in Missouri thanks too a high speed highway that the storm was tracking next to. When the tornado touched down, I was expecting it to be a long track, violent tornado and got greedy going hoping to head it off for the close intercept. If I could go back, I should have pulled over set up on a tripod and zoomed up on it as I had perfect contrast. All in all it was an unexpected surprise considering the 60 mph moving storms over very unfriendly chase terrain. Congratulations to everybody who is able to safely Admire this pretty tornado.
