April 18 Storm Chase?

The WindBreaker is loaded up and ready to roll. BUT, the latest guidance has talked me out of it. Despite the SPC saying storms should occur around 5-7pm, the Hrrr and the Nam Nest don't really resolve any storms until after 9pm. What does resolve appears to be in a messy-mode environment. The updated runs should trickle in soon. I've still got another 1-2 window to make the scene should conditions improve for photogenic supercells.

Above is the Nam Nest forecast for 9PM. Below is the HRRR forecast for 9PM

There's a little spread in the two models regarding targets that I have circled in the my latest mesoanalysis. Black being the Nam target, and purple being the HRRR target.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Patrons who scored the tornado near the Nebraska-Iowa border last night. At one point it appeared there was a large tornado on the ground after dark according to radar. Radarscope labeled it as "catastrophic." I haven't seen any catastrophic damage in my news feed so hopefully the was a false alarm. Daniel Shaw appeared to be all over the scene. That's at least 2 tornadoes for him to my zero so far this year. I look forward to him waking up at noon to rub it in my face.
